Helmeri Pirinen, one of the original freestyle riders, has not only remained involved in the industry but has thrived throughout the years. His journey began in 1999 when he received a scooter as a gift from his godfather, leading to his first sponsorship and video appearance in Razor Worldwide's RVM3 in 2004. Since then, he has achieved an impressive list of accomplishments over the span of two decades.

Notable milestones in Helmeri's career include winning his first international competition at the Extreme Battle in Tarto in 2007, followed by successful victories in 2008 and 2009. Utilizing this momentum, he went on to establish Finland's first freestyle scooter shop, FinScooterShop, which quickly became one of the pioneering establishments in the world. His skills and passion for the sport garnered him sponsorships from renowned brands like eaglesupply and District, which released his signature deck and complete in 2020.

In 2011, FinScooter expanded its presence with the opening of its first physical store in Helsinki. The same year, Helmeri achieved a significant milestone as the only non-French rider to win the prestigious Paris Street Jam. He continued to attract sponsorships, including one from Elyts Footwear in 2012. In 2013, FinScooter made history by building the first-ever scooter rider owned indoor park.

As the years passed, Helmeri's reputation grew, and he became a respected figure in the sport, judging major events and being recognized as one of the leading voices and authorities. Beyond his sporting achievements, he made appearances on Finnish TV and actively advocated against bullying while promoting youth sport and culture for positive change.
